The colors are custom Dillard High Blue with a fashion color Pewter for the crosswalks. Project completed and photo dated Dec 2004 with updated photo taken Dec 2007 showing 3 years of wear with no visible failure. Points to consider:
# 1- This particular intersection has an offset axis which creates constant stress to the surface coating due to this particular design. This highlights how durable the Streetprint Coatings are even under unfavorable conditions when properly designed & applied.
# 2- We do feel this next point will get the attention of design engineers: We challenge the viewer to find oil spots or stains from all the stop and go traffic that has traveled this intersection for three years, especially considering that the color in the crosswalks is almost white (Pewter) it should be easy and yet there is none. The reason is that Streetprint coatings are impervious to most automotive fluids on the roadways. Every time it rains it's like a free washing.
# 3 – From a safety perspective, notice how the crosswalks match the color of the sidewalks therefore making it more likely that the students and pedestrians approaching this intersection would be more comfortable remaining on that path of safety.
